Gravesend Entertainment & Musical Society has a deserved reputation for musical excellence and the broad range of music we present.  We have a history stretching back to 1912 and we strive to continue with the traditions of live music.  We have two strings to our bow, the staged musical events and a choir, which is how the Society originally began all those years ago, and each year we are producing concerts and shows for the public.

It's great to be back rehearsing for our Spring concerts in May.

These concerts will be celebrating 100 years of Disney magic with additional  musical excerpts from our forthcoming staged production of Dames At Sea.  Please see the poster for more information.

So, if you enjoy a good sing, please come along and join us!

Our staged musical production of Dames At Sea will take place in November 2023.

A flavour of the songs and synopsis can be found on the Next Production tab above. It is sure to get your toes tapping!

If you are interested in joining us for this great show, please contact us or watch this space for further information.

Adrian Connell has been the GEMS Musical Director since February 2020.

Love to sing?

Come and join us!

No audition required.

Whether you can read music or not, come and try us out. We are a friendly, fun group, open to all, and perform a wide range of popular music.  You can either sing in the choir, take part in our annual staged show or both - it's up to you!

Rehearsals are held on a Tuesday evening from 7.30 to 9.30pm at Emmanual Baptist Church, Windmill Street, Gravesend (in the large hall to the rear accessed from the Parrock Street Car Park).  Please note, as we are unable to use the Baptist Church on the first Tuesday of each month, these rehearsals will take place at Christ Church, Old Road East, Gravesend.

If you would like more information, please contact us or come along to one of our rehearsals to see what we do.

We look forward to seeing you!
